Cementitious Structural Water-proofing (Tanking)
Tapco HomeDry.com are London and the Home Counties premier damp proofing company and are long term specialists at preventing penetrating damp through walls that are below ground level or are subject to other conditions that can cause lateral damp penetration. This aspect of work, often known as ‘tanking‘ is sometimes carried out as a part of other damp proofing works, which may be recommended by our surveyor. We have been established since 1971 and our surveyors are qualified damp and timber surveyors who will advise you of the extent of the problem and the best method of treating it. You will be issued with a detailed report on the extent of the work together with our recommendations.
What Tapco HomeDry.com does to eliminate lateral damp penetration
Damp proofing walls below ground level is very specialist work which is carried out by our trained and experienced technicians who have many years of structural water proofing experience. We use a tanking system which is alkali-resistant synthetically modified cement. This is mixed with styrene-butadiene and water, producing a water proof barrier system against both moisture and hydrostatic ground water. After only 24 hours our finished system can usually be plastered by us, which is carried out in accordance with our damp proof plastering system, ready for decorating. Tapco HomeDry.com are approved contractors for Sovereign Chemicals and Safeguard Europe.
Whether the problem requires a small isolated area of tanking or a complete basement conversion, the proceedure is the same and should only be carried out by Tapco HomeDry.com under the terms of our guarantee.
